This is the title track of the EP.
Sometimes we spend years of our life learning a lesson and then a few more years float by and we have completely forgotten what we learned. This song was inspired by this whole process of learning, forgetting and then learning the same lesson over again.
lyrics
Learning and forgetting and learning again,
Meet you in the sanctuary drowning in my sin,
I'm genuine, and I told you from the start that I'm a mess,
Strait up, hands down, no need to guess.
If you could see, inside yourself, inside yourself,
If you could see, then you might understand a little bit, little bit, little bit.
I ain't bet no money, but I gamble with my life.
I ain't stab no backs, I just flash around a knife.
I'm genuine, and I told you from the start that I was blind,
Selfishness just lives inside, inside.
If you could see, inside yourself, inside yourself,
If you could see, then you might understand a little bit, little bit, little bit.
You can't see inside yourself but, it's not ignorance you're just blind,
You can't see inside yourself at all.
If you could see, inside yourself, inside yourself,
If you could see, then you might understand a little bit, little bit, little bit.
If you could see, if you could see, if you could see,
Inside your own heart, Inside your own mind,
If you could see, if you could see, if you could see,
Would you be proud of what you find?
